Cardiff is a port city on the south coast of Wales, where the River Taff meets the Severn Estuary. It was proclaimed the country’s capital in 1955. The revitalised waterfront at Cardiff Bay includes the Wales Millennium Centre complex, home of the national opera, orchestra, theatre and dance companies.
The waterfront will keep you entertained all weekend, there are many eateries, boat trips and cultural attractions. I would recommend the boardwalk at Mermaid Quay as you will find some funky bars and great places to eat here or if you want to get a little geeky, then you can also visist Cardiffs most popular attraction, The Doctor Who Experience.
Cardiff boasts some of the best sporting venues with the likes of the Millennium Stadium (the national stadium for the Wales national rugby union team), SWALEC Stadium (the home of Glamorgan County Cricket Club), Cardiff International Sports Stadium (the home of Cardiff Amateur Athletic Club), Cardiff Arms Park (the home of Cardiff Blues and Cardiff RFC rugby union teams) and Cardiff City Stadium (the home of Cardiff City football team) which will be the proud home for the Grand Prix Poker tour.

By Car:
Leave the M4 at junction 33 taking the A4232 towards Cardiff/Barry. Exit the A4232 on to the B4267 turn-off, signposted towards Cardiff City Stadium. Follow the slip-road off the B4267 and take the first left at the roundabout - the Stadium will be on your right hand side.
By Train:
The closest station is now Grangetown which is well served by trains from Cardiff Central. The walk from Grangetown takes around 5-10 minutes. The stadium is well signposted.
If you arrive at Cardiff Central you can change for Grangetown or jump in a cab.
