When I play PLO I often find myself betting... sometimes with nothing.
It is a bit the same with NLH but not as much... I am a nit (mostly) in NLH, as that take the money... usually..
Anyway, I diverge... back to PLO....
When playing PLO it is incredible how often bets take down pots (hand or no hand). And when you combine that observation with a case of
going on auto pilot (which I recently kept finding myself doing one night) you have to think a lot more on the turn.
This recent lapse in concentration (and betting with air on auto pilot) was good for my game as I walked away with a better understanding of
the importance of visualizing your opponents hand.
As I kept firing at pots and getting resistance I found myself knowing when to keep firing and when to shut down. If they didn't raise me on the turn
then I can keep firing when non-draw hands get there... Etc..
